Back for now with an update

Well, I've been gathering my thoughts over the last few weeks trying to figure out what's next for me when I get out of the AF in March. I've posted a few things the last couple days and I figured I've got enough of a plan to let you guys know what's going on.

I flew to Oregon to test for one of the city police departments, but that didn't work out. Next week I'm in a transition assistance program to get a resume set up that keys in on things that I learned and skills I've used in my 8 year career in the AF. I'll most likely be getting into a computer career field and it's also likely that I'll join the ANG (Air National Guard) back in Oregon. Be mid Feb I'll be on the road headed to Oregon and I'll probably have limited access to the internet, and if/when I do, it'll probably be dial up. No fun, but hopefully things will be set up so I can start working right away and me and the fam will have our own place within a couple weeks of arriving home.

So, I'll be around until Feb and until then I'll be able to start participating more.

good to see you back Laz. My plan was to get out next December, but with a kid on the way I think I'm going to be re-upping and crosstraining myself.

Hope all goes well with the transition out of the blue (unless you go guard anyway..Then you'll never be out of the blue!)
