I am surprised no one has made a thread about this game yet! It pwns.

I haven't played it in a few weeks, but I am interested in playing online sometime - so holler at me for those who have it!

I've seen a few ads for it, but haven't heard much about it... Looks pretty cool, from the screenshots. Is it more like Star Wars: Empire at War, or Civilization?

I have it and played it sometime but I think the creator of this game is stuipd enough of not having offline story except for intro but Sins of a Solar Empire is a fun game but its lacking something that can be boring...

i am depressed that their is no campaign, but apparently it is "in the works" with an expansion...

Interesting.
I just hope the SOASE expansion will have story campaign.

A campaign would be nice, but the whole "civ" feel to it kinda excuses that omission. Hopefully we can get some nice matches against the computer....that darned comp enemy always seems to get everything before me.

ya its a pretty fun game, its like.. star wars empire at war.. but with a more Empire bulding feel to it * like age of empires, starwars empire at war and a civilization mashup its pretty fun, although unless you have a bunch of friends and allies playing it will take a LONG time to finish a single game, even with just one galaxy. just wait for vacation to start up epic matches:D

I dont have this game, it got great reviews and I am a big fan of the developers who also produced the great Galactic Civilisation (turn based) games that are done in the style of Masters of Orion (and MOO2).. the thing that put me off with Sins was the departure from a turn based format into an RTS format (whcih I am no fan of) and that is why I didnt and wouldnt buy it (each to thier own, I like turn based what can I say).

For those who are worried about the lack of a Campaign for it, I wouldnt worry the Developers are great at continual updates and expansions if the Gal Civ lines are anything to go by and the game community will no doubt mod the jeepers out of it.

Masters of Orion the 1st one is a classic and still enjoyed it. I am up n down with the new MOO 3 that was release a few years ago. I dunno if they are going to continue with it or not but its a good game.

I have to say MOO 3 which was not done by Microprose who produced 1 and 2 was not a game I enjoyed at all, I bought it played it.. hated it, it was not a worth offspring of the originals in any regard.. however Gal Civ 1 and 2 by another company are very much games that are in the theme of the Moo 1 and 2 games and indeed with the second even imporve upon the fromula to some degree.
