August 27th, 2008.

The SGC has announced an award system for members within the SGC Command. The awards launched at release of the system are as follows and are retroactive:

Outstanding Volunteer Award
Longevity Award
Pre-Launch Award
SGC Recruiter
Sponsor Ribbon
Roleplay Ribbon
Training Instructor Ribbon
Basic Training

The addition of the award system within the SGC gives us one more way to recognize the folks within our command for the outstanding jobs they do on a daily basis. Want some awards of your own? Feel free to fill out an application, found here:

Nice idea. no doubt more will be added in the future (i.e. when SGW comes out) such as "Extraordinary bravery", "True dedication", "Unwavering Loyalty", True Selfless Commitment", "Exemplary leadership", etc....

Can we have the first asgard and or Most Naked ribbon?

No?

Man no one knows a good idea when they hear it!

Actually nice surprise to those that pulled it off.

...."Excellent Cannon-Fodder," "Most Likely to Get Electrocuted in Minigame," and, of course, "Which Way Does This Mine Face?"

I love the medals idea, but even though i have read the description i still dont understand the basic training one :( sorry for being dumb.

Rocki

I kinda assumed that it was either basic RP training, or basic training within the SGC, as in E-1.

Darren
09-24-2008, 12:40
I think it means RP training, just that everyone here from before the RP training was introduced has technically done the training.
Yeah, that confusing.

DUCE

Basic Training is attached to the RP training

Basic Training:
This ribbon is awarded to an individual who has completed the trial period of the SGC

You get this award for being promoted to Airman.

Guess theres still some problems with that then :)

Iv seen quite a few people without them

Morgan Skywalker
09-24-2008, 23:17
Indeed. Well, you are supposed to PM Hobie if you don't have a medal you are entitled to, but I bet some of the newer members missed that. If you notice a member without a medal they are supposed to have, feel free to PM Hobie. :)

Rocki
09-24-2008, 23:19
Well your missing it for one ;)

Morgan Skywalker
09-25-2008, 00:10
Well, we didn't have Airman Basic's back when I joined... So I never actually passed. :p

*Shifty eyes* That might be why.

Rocki
09-25-2008, 00:13
You should still technically have it tho surly

PM Hobie and see what he says, cant hurt to have another ribbon ;)

Hobie
09-25-2008, 03:47
Yes, the basic training ribbon are for those that have passed the E-1 Basic Training program within the SGC. The ribbon has nothing to do with RP.

Only those that joined after the basic training program was introduced have this ribbon. (IE) only those that were ever an airman basic. Most longtimers will never have this ribbon.

Hopefully this answers your questions on this particular ribbon.

You calling me a long timer! you young whiper snapers!

Morgan Skywalker
09-25-2008, 12:06
*Cries* So, if I wanted to get all the medals, I would have to go back in time, NOT join the SGC, then come back now to be a Basic. Cool. :p

Hobie
09-25-2008, 12:15
Basically, Yes :p

Blue Cypher
09-25-2008, 14:47
