I registered, played for ten minutes, then had to go. When I got back, my account was gone, and I had to re-register... My email was still taken, but the name was gone. I submitted an error report.
There is no activation, I don't think. If you can't log in, and you are sure you are using the right password, try re-registering. ;) Its in beta, so I guess we should expect problems.
can u actually form alliances or is it just a verbal thing?

This sounds fun I think I will check it out
Becareful of the admins, there all idiots. There use to be alliences then the admins thought it wasnt fair so they banned people in alliences and said they arent aloud. So we are forming verbal alliences, that tempest likes to break

Notes Draft 1.0 ::
Before we start its worth saying this game is still very much in development and it is a testing environment for a soon to be completed game, as such their are features listed in the game that currently arnt active the following is a list of a few of them.
*** Galaxy Map
*** Starships
*** Acending
*** Recon
*** Structure Attack
*** Research labs (They DO work as a pre-requisite for the core but besides this they do not grant you any bonus as they are intended to do).
This "manual" is also in development and i will edit and change is as the days go on and we learn more, and eventually i hope to have a step by step guide to the first 72 hours of game play so that once the round starts up for the full game realise you will all know the most optimal root to growing in the first 72 hours at the very least.
At this stage this manual can be considered nothing more than notes. Work in progress.
Buildings ::
After careful consideration and some applied math by both Emanon and [SGC]Sturmmann we came to the conclusion that in this game Naquadah is king, mostly everything costs atleast a 4:1 ratio of naq requirement over any other resource (exception in some cases been troops).
Bellow you will find some of the levels for Naquadah per-hour for been at certain levels of naquadah mine upgrades, this will allow you to plan ahead with your building schedule.
### Re-checking the values on the naq per hour calcs , post soon.
I recommend that when you first start the game you rush all the way to level 3 Naqudah Mine and then construct a level 1 Trinium Mine and return to upgrading the naqudah mine untill you reach level 7.
Once you are at level 7 naq mine you should be building crystal up to atleast level 3 before pushing Trinium to level 4 (You will not need it any higher than this for a good few days).
This will give you a stable income with a enough to expand in the way you will need to do so.
At this point i would recommend you build a research lab and then save for the processor core. While the core builds make yourself both the barracks and the armory and start to save for your first batch of 3 attack soliders.
By the time you have this you will have discovered some new address's via the address computer (enabled by the processor core) and will be able to go on your first attack (see bellow).
The rewards of your attack will vary but i used the profits to expand my naq core's all the way to level 10 and start to build a significant army armed with medium level weapons for the early stage of the game to great success.
Advanced levels of Armory + Baracks grant you greatly reduced build times.
Baracks ::
Their are 3 distinct types of units in this game, Attack , Defensive and Covert ... it is important to have a mix of the initial 2 and utilize them in separate squads (see next section, Gear & Formations).
In the initial stages of the game i would recommend that you move towards 3:1 ratio on attacking units vs defensive, but only once your resource income is stable (7/2/3).
Theirs a big difference between the race's regards to units, some races have very cheap "flack" soliders who take up damage and hopefully overpower the enemy with numbers, others like the Goa'uld are very expensive to build and as such are alot more powerful, but they also take longer to build.
Not arming your soliders in the initial stages of the game is acceptable as you will find most people have no resistance to offer however their is a HUGE difference between armed soliders and none. I suggest you dont waist time with melee weapons and move for 2nd level weaponry on all attacking units asap.
Covert units will be used for recon missions in the full game but their is room for tactics here as attacking soliders, the reason is simple... when you attack a planet with attack units they are noisy about it and tend to leave your home worlds glyphs for the hostile to find in their combat log, covert units do not, however they are 90% less effective in direct combat, in the early stages of the game when very few people have troops and it is more important to not be retaliated on it maybe worth spending the huge amount of resources required to buy this troop type and be unseen and unhurd.
I suspect their will be a covert specialized race (Tok'ra perhaps) who will get them significantly cheaper, this would provide a HUGE advantage in the early stages of the game and is something i'am researching into at the moment.
Armory + Gear & Formations ::
Once you have built your troops you will want to head to this section of the game and set the option in the top left to "manual" , this will allow you to drag and drop your soliders into squads of upto 10 and also drag any weapons you may have built for the squad onto their designated slots, once your done be sure to click "submit changes" in the top right corner.
It is very important to build weapons (Zats seem to work well for the price tag with Goa'ld, they are the second weapon available in the armoy after the meelee weapon at a cost of 600 naq, staffs cost 1.2k and as such are not feasible in the early stages of the game).
While your troops do have a 'base' level of damage they are able to do the weapons make a big difference, 1 jaffa with a zat is worth 3 without in comparison.
Formation of 10 units can be grouped together but be aware once you create a formation it will be very difficult for you to seperate the troops, they become as one, the advantage however is they now gain skill levels for attack and defensive efects and as such can become better troops as time goes on.
Address Computer ::
This one of the most important factors in the game, this is how you seek out co-ordinates of hostile planets, it requires level 1 research labs in order to build the processor core that enables the feature, at level one you will find 6 stargate address's per 24 hours, at level 2 this increases to 12, at level 3 it increases to 18 addresses per day (1.3 hours per address) and so on as far as i'am aware.
This process is automatic and every X hours your new co-ordinates will be added to your planetary database for automatic dialing. You may now attack this person.
For this reason it is VERY important you keep your co-ordinates to yourself unless you are part of an organized none aggregation pact. Even then you should be very careful.
Attacks ::
In order to attack someone you must input their glyphs and then await the dialing sequence, once this is done you will notice the text box in the bottom right hand corner will change to a mission screen and you will be able to select the type of attack you wish to do, we will select Raid for now in order to take hostile resources.
If you wait around 10 seconds the screen will change and you will be able to select the squads you put together in the Gear & Formations screen and send them on their mission.
They will travel via the gate, and will not return for upto 5mins, when they do you will find an updated combat report in your logs (The information symbol on the right hand side of the screen under the stargate icon).
Resources are updated instantly upon team return (If they do so).
Its worth saying that unless you use covert units to attack you will most likely be seen leaving the planet you attack and they will gain your co-ordinates in order to mount a retaliation strike.
You can send more than one team out on a raid at a time, simply re-dial the gate with a secondary squad once your first team has been sent, their is not much point at this early stage actually attacking the same person twice in a row unless your trying to kill their army rather than raid their resource, in the main game however it will be possible to attack their structures, in this case multi-wave attacks will be a normal thing.
Their is a resource cap that you can take each time you attack, it seems to be about 20% at the moment but this is subject to change.
Not all race's are equal, solider stats are very varied, you will find Goa'uld at the moment to be the most solid (yet very expensive) attack force in the game, you can get 5 units of some race's attack soliders for the price of 1 Jaffa, their is a reason they are so good.
This post is likely to get changed alot, so stay updated (-:

Still testing that mate, not sure its actualy been finalised but we suspect that the Goa'uld get combat bonus's to attacking and the Tok'ra get covert ability bonus's, i can only speculate on the others at this stage but im looking into it.

Rogue Five, you can't just randomly attack, unless you are lucky enough to guess a gate address. When the receive a new address from the computer (You get like 4 a day or something, unless you upgrade), it will tell you the owner of the planet, if there is one. ;)

Now, I found today that our host sucks and we can not step forward without a new provider.

We have some concrete offers, but still some problems, the prices vary between 150E to 200E that means some 50E variations. (For "yankees" that means something between 220$ to 300$, for British that means between 120 and 160 pounds).
All prices are PER month. I will attach the links here to see them (full transparency), but you need to translate them, to see that I am not laying to you (www.translate.google.com/translate_t (http://www.translate.google.com/translate_t))
they said they needed a server (Quad core for text based game, nonsense) and after ppl pay for that they say theres shipping fees when thats paid they said theres import fees then when they paid that they said theres hosting fees. This is just them trying to make money, i can almsot garentee you that they could turn the server on now and it would work fine.
