Other then the Stargate franchise, what exactly does Sci Fi have? Almost all their shows suck, and the movies they put on are horrible. Wrestling is on half the time anyway... :p

Stargate basically is there bread and butter. Their meal ticket, if you will :P

They sometimes have marathons of other shows like firefly :D

Indeed...without Stargate, Sci-fi wouldn't exist lol

Not entirely true.. Sci Fi channel in the UK doesnt air Stargate and it exists... its awful but it does exist lol.. we get stargate and atlantis on SKY ONE (for satellite subscirberS) and years on eventually on one of the five terrestrial channels (usually our Channel 4).

The UK incarnation of Sci Fi si fairly shocking with the odd decent thing now and then and mostly consists of Dark Angel, ST: The original series, Lost World, and a plethora of poor disaster/sci fi/horror movies.. its nothing like the US version.

But nevertheless Sci FI does exist without Stargate

Can't wait for Atlantis....but they do have some good shows. Eureka is good, and...and...nevermind. ;)

Battlestar Galactica is also really good!!

But BSG is finished, so it doesn't count. From what I've heard, Eureka is the only good series other then Stargate Atlantis now. :p

Spike TV shows more Star Trek and other sci fi things then Sci Fi does, and thats sad. If they started showing reruns of all the good sci fi shows, they might be less sucky.

Excellent I have started watching the show and it kicks just like SG-1. Can't wait!!!!!

Yeah. It took me a season or so to get used to the changes, but now I like it just as much as SG-1. ;) I am really excited about July!

But would it exist in the UK without Stargate airing on it in the US...it's the same company right?

Anyhow, I will admit to liking Eureka and I used to like BSG, but I'm getting bored with it as of recent...

As for Star Treks, I saw an add on Sci-fi today saying that they were going to start airing TNG...interesting...

A marathon of the best episodes at least, if I remember correctly. Are they showing them full time also? Its a fun show to watch, when you are bored. :D

Yeah, not sure if it's full time or not. I hope so since Spike no longer airs them...

Same. I used to love the late night Spike mini-marathons they used to have almost every night... I stay up real late, so its nice to have good shows running in the background while you are doing stuff. :D The Star-Treks aren't good enough to be obsessed with them, but great for casual viewing (Just my opinion of course. I know some people get obsessed.)

I never got into Voyager... Its my least favorite of the Treks, other then the original. I guess I just didn't like the characters as much. I like TGN the best, with DS9 a close second.
